  •  Bailey just learned to crawl.  You can see in the video that Dillon likes to get in her way! :)  Enjoy!

  • Here is what we have done the last month and a half.

For the last 5 or 6 years we have done a Memorial Day trip with some of our friends from Sioux Falls.  This year we met at Grand Lake, CO.  We had such a good time.  Here is a few pictures from the trip.

We had a hot tub at the house we rented.  The kids loved it during the day, and the adults loved it at night!

We drove over the 12,000 foot pass.  It was the first day it was open.

We rode a tram up the the top of the mountain in Estes Park.

This is the stroller that I use when I want to run or walk.  One day I was running and they both fell asleep.  Dillon looks like he got the better end of the deal.

Clint came out to visit for almost a week.  We had a fun time with him.  We tried to find enough things to keep us busy.  One of our first adventures was to go to the sand dunes.  We had a good time, and great weather.  We hiked to the top.  Dillon did so good, but now when we talk about the sand dunes he says, "no hike sand dunes."  He thought it was a little too hard!

One of the last days Clint was here we hiked up to Table Rock.  It is a 1.6 mile hike one way.  Dillon did so good, but the last part was really steep.  He wanted me to carry him.

    We made it.

We also went to the zoo.

A day after Clint left Grandma and Grandpa Van Beek came out.  It was so good to see them.  We took them up to Stanley.  We stayed the night up there.  While we were there we went to the Yankee Gold Dredge, went fishing, and drove to Red Fish Lake.

This is Dillon's first time fishing.  He was so excited.  On the way to the lake that we fished in, I asked him what he thought fishing was.  He said, "I'm really not sure."

Grandpa VB and Dillon built a fort.  Grandpa VB got stuck, so Dillon was pulling him out.

Aaron and Dillon went camping up in Stanley with Grandma and Grandpa Koning.  I didn't go because I had to do somethings for our church VBS.  They had a great time.  Dillon even got to do some more fishing.

She is such a happy and easy baby.  Dillon also likes to be a big helper.

Dillon wanted to climb the tree in our front yard.  I put him up in it and he didn't want to come down.

  • I actually have some peace and quiet today to catch up on our blog!   Dillon has not been taking very many naps anymore.  He still has quiet time in him room, but it still involves needing me to do this and that for him.  Today both kids are sleeping, and I LOVE it.  I have folded some laundry, checked email, read some in my book, and am now blogging.

Here is the last month or so in pictures.  Probably about a month and a half ago Melissa (our sister-in-law) and the girls stayed by our house for a few nights.  Dillon had a lot of fun playing with Abee.

A couple of weeks ago we went camping with Grandpa and Grandma Koning.  We had a good time, but the weather was not very nice.  It was chilly and VERY windy.  We spent quite a bit of the time in the camper.  We went to a museum that was close to our campground.

The rest of the pictures are just random ones taken at home.  Dillon likes to do exactly what daddy does.

Bailey is already 6 1/2 months old.  She loves to play with her doll.  She is definitely a girl!

We are trying a garden this year.  Aaron built a few raised garden beds and then we rented a trailer and got some top soil.  Dillon had fun helping daddy load and unload it.

Bailey is a messy eater.  She likes to play with her pacifier or a toy while she eats.

  • Again, it has been awhile.  We have had a fun month.  We started with going to Olympia, WA to meet our new niece, Brenna.  Unfortunately we forgot our camera, so I will post pictures later of that trip!  We had such a good time!  Dillon had fun playing with Abee!

It is so fun to watch Dillon and Bailey interact.  Dillon really loves his sister, and will spend a lot of time talking and entertaining her.  She really responds to him too.

Aaron had a conference in Texas.  I went to Iowa with the kids while Aaron was gone.  Here are some pictures from our trip to Iowa.  One night we went to a circus.  Dillon loved it all, except for the clown act.  The clown rode out in a car and the car backfired.  Dillon does NOT like loud noises, so he got scared!

We got to meet our new nephew.  Here is Colten!

Clint was busy doing homework, and Dillon said he need to do homework too!

Bailey has been doing great with her rice cereal.  She makes such a mess when she eats!

I laid Bailey down for a nap and went to check on her and this is what I found.

Avery and Dillon spent a lot of time singing into their "microphones".

  • I can't believe it is February already.  We have been busy here.  I don't get much done in a day with two busy kids.  I went to upload pictures and realized I had not taken many since I last posted.

Since coming back from Iowa Dillon has switched to a twin bed.  He has done great!  He still doesn't usually get out by himself.  If he wakes up from nap/during the night he will just call for us. We have also been potty training Dillon.  He has been doing pretty well.  I have taken him out once in underwear, but am a little nervous to do it again.

Bailey is still doing well.  She is more and more responsive all the time.  She has started giggling at us.

I have been sick for about a week and a half.  Dillon also had an ear infection and Bailey has had a cold.  Good thing Aaron is healthy to keep the place going around here.  We are all getting better.

    DSC_0673 DSC_0680

On Presidents' Day Aaron had off of work so we went to the Owyhee (sp?) Mountains south of us.

    DSC_0684 DSC_0686

Dillon wanted to feed Bailey a bottle, so we let him try.  She didn't like that to much!
